The 15th November 2022 started ordinarily enough for Lin, it was just another day at the office. Late in the morning she suffered a cardiac arrest from which she never recovered. On 20th November life support was withdrawn and Linda passed away peacefully twelve days later on 2nd December. She left behind my brother, husband of twenty-two years and twin boys who are fifteen. This has been a tragedy to watch and disastrous for all involved. 

I have decided to raise money for the British Heart Foundation to fund research into the causes of cardiac arrest. This will be only my second marathon on 23rd April. I had the good fortune to work in Hamburg a vibrant and wonderful city where I undertook my first half marathon in 2014 and vowed to return! This felt like a good reason and I am self funding the trip and training!
