Dinton Hermit Half Marathon · 6 June 2020

We want every child in the UK with a neurodisability like cerebral palsy - and their families - to have access to learning and life changing therapy, aligned with our Pace approach. Our specialist clinical, education and therapy teams work with babies, children & young people from 0-18.

Story

These are unprecedented times and with a huge number of fundraising activities not able to take place, charities are struggling to maintain the financial support they require to deliver vital services.

PACE are one of those charities and I've chosen to do something to help. PACE is important to me for two reasons; They are the "House Charity" of The Dinton Hermit and we had inhouse plans to raise funds with them during 2020. I also have two nieces who sadly suffer from a debilitating syndrome and severe learning difficulties so I know how beneficial charities like PACE can be for such children.

So the challenge! Running a "lockdown" Half Marathon has been inspired by the great Captain (and now Colonel) Tom Moore! What a man! I will run the Half Marathon on Saturday 13th June in the car park of The Dinton Hermit close to my home. This is 210 laps!

Your support today will continue to help transform the lives of children with sensory motor disorders. You will help unlock the potential of children with conditions such as cerebral palsy by helping to provide intensive specialist education and therapy individually tailored to each child. You will be giving the children the skills they need to become independent, opening up a world of communication, mobility, learning and achievement.

Your donation will contribute to smashing the £50k target that PACE are looking to raise by the end of June 2020.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity during these uncertain times.
