London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·
Hi everyone,
I will be running the 2017 London Marathon on the 23rd April 2017 to raise some much needed funds for Cancer Research and for a bit of a personal challenge.
I have set a fundraising target very high at £2000, it's a lot to raise but its not often you run a marathon so I'm going all out to achieve my goal. To run 26.219 miles / 42.195 Kilometres is not going to be easy and I have very tough winter training plan ahead of me.
My 6 month Training plan is now underway and I'm am hoping to start upping my weekly mileage and keeping injury free. I have run 10k's and half marathons before but a long time ago so the marathon is going to be a tough challenge, if I can compete under 4 hours I will be extremely happy!
The decision to run and raise money for Cancer Research was a simple one for me, for my family and friends that are fighting Cancer, those who have beaten cancer and sadly those that have lost their battle with Cancer. I want to do as much as I can to support this great charity.
So there you have it, my goal is to raise £2000 and complete the London Marathon in under 4 hours.
Please support and encourage me along my journey, I will update the page regularly with my progress.
Thank you for reading my page and please dig deep!
James
