Belfast Marathon Festival 2017 · 1 May 2017 ·
I have decided to run the Belfast Marathon on the 1st May 2017 in order to support my good friend, Clive Donald, who sadly lost his sister to Lupus late in 2016.
We are aiming to raise vital funds for Lupus UK, who help with the treatment, counselling and research into the treatment of Lupus. They also complete important work into raising the education of the public, medical staff and families as well as raising national awareness of the disease.
Lupus is a disease that affects the immune system and causes inflammation and damage to the joints, muscles and other organs. Lupus is uncommon, very complex and can affect any part of the body, and can take up to 7 years to form a diagnosis.
With improved funding for research and education the treatment of sufferers of Lupus can be improved and Lupus UK is a vital charity in supporting this. Please donate as much or little as you feel able, any donation is much appreciated and will help in the development of care for those who have Lupus.
Thanks in anticipation.
