Story

Whilst I am generally more a desk person than a runner, I have wanted to do the London Marathon for ages so I am finally putting my running shoes on and doing it for the YMCA. A number of you have already asked if I am running it dressed as a member of the village people, I am not... sorry:)

I wanted to support the YMCA, as I have seen the great work they do in our community having been involved for the past 6 years. Specifically with the YMCA St Paul's Group covering London and the surrounding area.

The YMCA help provide safe accommodation for homeless young people, support for those with mental health difficulties and practical help with accessing education and training – everything young people need to really turn their lives around. They are an inclusive organisation welcoming everyone in the day to day work they do in London and beyond.
