I have been running for about 3 years and last year ran my first marathon in Brighton. It was bloody murder but I've been hooked ever since. I have had quite a few injuries and have struggled to motivate myself to get back into it. 

Its been a hard year for friends and family who have lost loved ones or are supporting loved ones with cancer. Marcus Gynn passed away in February this year and has inspired me to get back into running and raise money for Sarcoma UK.

I was reading Marcus's running blog about his love of running, collecting runners medals and his battle with cancer. It's truly inspiring and I wanted to challenge myself to raise some money and make amends for my behaviour at the charity football match in Marcus's memory. As Richard White likes to point out I'm an angry man. So apologies to the Gynn family, any children that were present and to Marcus. Let's hope that I can raise some money and complete the run in a decent time.

I will be running the Fen Ultra on the 30th August from Angle common in Soham to Caraway Road in Fulbourn and back to Angle Common. The run will take me through Wicken fen, adventures fen, Burwell fen, White Fen drove and Quy fen. I hope to complete the run in under 7 hours. Thanks for reading and supporting me. Jamie
