Running the London Marathon has been a dream of mine for years now. This year I get the chance to realise that dream whilst raising money for the fabulous people at Osteoporosis 2000.

Osteoporosis 2000 are based in my home city of Sheffield meaning that I have the opportunity to support those in need around the city I grew up in. In Sheffield today over 25,000 people are thought to have osteoporosis. It is a bone disorder that in the main affects older people, generally over the age of 70. Please help me to help those affected in our elder generation enjoy life more comfortably.

My niece suffers from celiac disease which means that she has a higher chance of developing osteoporosis and at a younger age than those who don't have celiac disease. This personal aspect to my fundraising run gives me added incentive to achieve my 'bucket list' goal of completing the London Marathon. 

I ran my first marathon in January this year when I completed the Dubai Marathon in 3hrs 55mins. I am currently training hard to beat that time in London. My target time is 3hrs 45mins.

I am hugely appreciative of anything you can give to help me achieve my target goal of £1500.

In the meantime, I will continue with the long training runs! Please keep an eye out for me in London on Sunday 23rd April 2017.
