On Sunday 19th May, Josh and Ian will both be in Manchester ready to run to raise money for the incredible Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

It is 5 years since we learned just what an amazing place the children’s hospital is when Josh was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer and Ward 84 became our home. For 4 months Josh battled this monster and became extremely poorly whilst undergoing chemotherapy. The treatment was brutal and it’s heartbreaking to remember how poorly Josh was. ..... but we are one of the lucky families and Josh pulled through and is now approaching 5 years in remission. 

4 days before the run Josh will (everything crossed) be discharged from Ward 84.... which is very scary but also very exciting and what better way to celebrate that than Father and son taking part in these events to raise money for the children’s hospital to mark this wonderful milestone.

Ian has the honour of being part of Team 10 ... a special team of 10 consisting of patients, staff, families etc. This marks the fact that the hospital has now been in its current location for 10 years this year.
