Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I decided to enter the Lakeland 50 race as a challenge and in memory of my mum who I lost to cancer last year. She lived all her life in the Eden Valley but loved the Lake District which she visited regularly. I'll be thinking of her as I run across the hills and hope she would be proud of me. I know she would have supported me and this very worthwhile charity. She was a nursery nurse in her younger days and loved children, and she'd be happy to know that there are several children's groups in Cumbria benefitting from the money raised by this event. I'd appreciate any small amount you can give, it will help me to keep going when the going gets tough and help get me to the finish line!
