Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am walking from St Ethelbert's Well in Marden around Sutton Walls 25 times in 25 days (100 miles) in August to raise much needed funds for this restoration and conservation project.  Please visit www.suttonwalls.co.uk for more about my walk, this charity and the extraordinary history of this ancient scheduled monument in Herefordshire which from the 8th century has been associated with King Offa of Mercia and King Ethelbert of East Anglia. We are supported by Historic England.

About the charity

Sutton Walls is one of the most important iron age hill forts within the UK, with a rich and engaging history. Sadly neglected over recent years, SWCG was formed in conjunction with Historic England to preserve, protect and enhance this important site for future generations to enjoy and investigate.
