We all like a hero in uniform in our romance stories, but the men and women who work in bomb disposal our heroes 24/7, every day of the week, 365 days a year.

The bombs they neutralize could be left over from the First or Second World Wars, IEDs, or bomb-making factories anywhere. They walk toward the danger that everyone else runs from.

Felix Fund is the UK's bomb disposal charity to support men and women who work in bomb disposal and their families. They also work with www.eodwarriorfoundation.org in the US.
