Story
In October 2021 we noticed that our daughter Alivia who’s 5 was losing her hair. After doctors and hospital appointments we were told that she was suffering from an autoimmune disease known as alopecia totalis where her body mistakenly attacks the hair follicles and causes her to lose her hair.
We got told of the charity Little Princess Trust through a fantastic group for parents with children that suffer alopecia. I applied via their website on a Sunday night and by Monday afternoon she was excepted for her beautiful new hair and within two weeks she had been fitted and received it.
This amazing charity helps children and young people with childrens cancers and other conditions that have lost their hair.
My little girl has said it makes her feel like a Princess and she absolutely loves being able to wear her new hair.
I’m wanting to raise money for the Little Princess Trust through a mountain trek with my friend Sadie.
This for myself is going to be extremely hard as I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis an autoimmune disease that attacks the nerves in your spine and brain but I’m determined to do this not just for my daughter Alivia but for all the children that deserve so much.
I’m also wanting to raise awareness of alopecia totalis and the effects it has on a child and their families.
Thank you for reading and I hope you can donate a little to such a great cause.
Me and sadie will be posting a little video every now and again whilst we’re climbing I will the battered looking one 🤣
