Between 2014 and 2016, there was an average of 363,484 new cases of cancer diagnosed in the UK. That’s an average of nearly 996 people every day. Every 2 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. 1 in 2 of us will now be diagnosed with some form of cancer in our lifetime and currently the survival rate is sitting at just 50%. Cancer amounts to more than a quarter of all deaths in the UK. However cancer survival rates are improving and have doubled in the last 40 years. Incidence rates have increased 12% since the 1990s largely due to a growing ageing population. The number of cancer cases is projected to rise more than 40% to around 514,000 new cases per year in 2035. Please donate to help raise money for life saving research, plus I'm getting my head punched for this so I'd really appreciate any money you can spare for this amazing cause!
