Story
I'm completing 'Walk the Wight My Way' for two reasons.
Firstly, in memory of my friend Andrew Younie who passed away at the Mountbatten Hospice 5 years ago. I set myself a challenge on completing the 26 mile full walk every year and this year will be the same, just in different circumstances!! Andrew was an amazing friend to me and so many others and this event will always be special to me because of him.
Secondly, to help make sure that, even during this challenging time, the most vulnerable in our community are cared for when they need it the most. Its only with our help that Mountbatten can continue to be there for Island people in the last years of life, when the time comes to die and to help those left behind come to terms with their loss. Without our support, Mountbatten cannot afford to deliver the services they do, as well as meet the needs of the increasing number of people who need care and support. Please help me by making a donation of whatever you can afford. Every penny will make a difference. Mountbatten, and Island people facing death, dying and bereavement, are counting on us!
