At Michael Sobell House, supported by Harlington Hospice, we support people in our community living with serious or terminal illness, and their family and friends. We believe everyone who comes to us should be supported to live each of their days in their own way, to the fullest.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year my wife and I lost a close friend to cancer , he unfortunately only lasted 3 weeks from diagnosis to passing away, leaving a much loved wife and 3 small boys all under ten .

My best friend lost his mum a few weeks ago to another strain of the non forgiving and ruthless disease, and I currently have two much loved family members undergoing treatment .

All of the above are or were being treated at our local cancer hospital Mount Vernon and Micheal sobell hospice .

I think its about time I did something to try to raise money for development and care of current and pending people using this wonderfull and much needed facility.

After much deliveration I felt I needed to do an activity that would honour the courage and bravery shown by all ,and we came up with the idea of me throwing myself from a perfectlly good aeroplane and free falling ten thousand feet, (well the wife did hence why she booked this ).

Those of you who are concerned about any complications and the future of my young family , dont be ,you will be pleased to know Dawn has also taken out a separate insurance covering my shoot not opening ?, lol I too have taken out similar insurance for the same situation and will be wearing two pairs of underpants.

Please give what ever you can, so I can try to give something back and honour our gone but not forgotten friends memories.
