Story

As some may know and remember I had a life changing experience over 10 years ago which involved me being in a coma for a number of months and having extensive rehabilitation for the next 2 years.

This involved learning how to walk and talk again (not a bad thing some might say). At the time my wife was nursing our 4 month old daughter and was preparing for the worst. The Royal Sussex County Hospital ICU unit were amazing and discovered I had a virus (no not covid) called Bickerstaff encephalitis which 1 in 100,000 have a chance of contracting the disease, lucky me.........well yes indeed lucky me or was it a divine intervention?

Perhaps it was as most of you know I made 100% full recovery and the brain and body work better than they ever did. Unfortunately many people that have this disease are left paralysed or have brain damage. Since 2011 I have vowed to live every day like its my last and help others that are not as lucky as me.

I have decided to run the London Marathon in October for an outstanding charity that  Andrews Charitable Trust work with called Child Rescue Nepal. The charity frees children from slavery - they rescue children, keep them safe and reunite them with their families. Child Rescue Nepal has rescued nearly 900 children but their work is far from over. The aim is to end child slavery in Nepal and we wont stop until every child is free.

I am running the London Marathon to help end child slavery in Nepal and I'd really appreciate your support. Please check out my page and give as much as you can it all really does help, £26 will provide a child with school lunches for a year, £50 will train a teacher in child- friendly methods.

Thank you so much.
