Story
Well we've decided to go for it... We are going to walk 6 miles around Southsea at night! Are we mad? Yes probably! But also very passionate. We are doing this to raise essential funds for the wonderful Rowans Hospice in memory of Jason Harvell.
Jason was a well known, well loved, son, dad, brother, husband, friend, family man and true gent. He sadly lost his very short battle with cancer, spending his last days in The Rowans Hospice in December 2013, leaving behind his wife Trina, his daughter Shannon-Marie and scores of family, friends and loved ones.
The Rowans Hospice exists to enhance the quality of life for those suffering from a life-limiting illness. It supports patients and carers in the belief that each person is entitled to dignity and choice with the best provision of care. Do check out their website www.rowanshospice.co.uk
A message from Jason's wife Trina - "Jas was my amazing husband who lost his life way too soon. He was the most amazing husband and dad. The saying only the good die young is so true, he didn't deserve any of it. My heart belongs to you honey. The Rowans made the last 4 days of his life so comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for them, they even made sure his visitors were comfortable."
A message from Jason's sister Natasha - "Jason, was the most kind, caring person ever. He had a wicked sense of humor, Jason always managed to put a smile on people's faces. When we were growing up, Jason was ever the protective big brother! The love that Jason, Trina and Shannon had as a family, was simply magical, they were each others world. I am going to love and miss you always Jason and you will be forever in my heart. I personally would like to thank all the Rowans staff for there care that they gave to my brother, they made sure that at all times Jason was as comfortable as possible and I thank you for that. The work they do for people with a terminal illness, is amazing. They also take great care of the loved ones too. Thank you once again to all the Staff at the Rowans! Much love Natasha!"
