If you remember … I was supposed to do this back in March, however, I realised a little too late that I needed to be 12 months post op … so today’s the day! We’ll be zipping at 1.30’ and I’ll post some evidence later!

As you can see from the photos, there have been so many poignant moments over the past 10 months. I was diagnosed with cancer after finding a lump in my armpit which I hadn’t noticed before and I decided to get it checked out, just to rule out anything sinister … thank God I did! 

At a time when it was SO needed, the wonderful care and support I received from all the staff within Breast Care has been amazing. Their expertise, warmth and calm confidence has made my journey far less nerve-wracking than I had expected and I wanted to do something in return to show my appreciation for the work they do.

Of course, when I mentioned this, friends and family jumped on the bandwagon - so 13 of us will be selflessly travelling at speeds of up to and over 100 mph down the world’s fastest zip line (allegedly) on 26th March 2022.

Since deciding to do this fundraising, I’ve received the wonderful news that I am ‘cancer free’ and, all being well, I will return to work on 1st February 2022!
