Story

Anyone who knows me, knows I DO NOT run, if you found me running, it would probably be for the ice cream van! I somehow signed myself up for this race, being told that if a one-legged man can do it, then I can too. So here I am, attempting to run and climb and swim through mud to raise money for an excellent charity.

Blesma gives support to veterans and their whole family following loss of limb or sight. We came to know about Blesma following the amputation of my Step-Dad, Colin's, leg. The amputation was due to injuries sustained whilst serving in the British Army, which left him in constant pain and registered disabled. With the support of Blesma, we have had trips away as a family to attempt challenges with a new leg and also support to ensure Colin has the correct prosthesis to ensure he is able to live life to the fullest.

Any money donated can really make a difference to a family who has given so much to the country through service. I can personally say that I've seen where the money goes and how important the support they give is to families who are adapting to amputee life!

Thank you for taking the time to Read this, and thank you in advanced for any donations given! I can't promise I'll complete this in any decent time, but I can promise I'll give it my best shot and probably moan the whole way around!
