Story
So despite my dodgy knees and no training, I ran the Brighton marathon in 4 hours, 21 minutes and 22 seconds. You can see pictures of me running (with various pained expressions on my face) here.
I didn't stop; I didn't walk. I just kept moving forward at a very, very slow pace.
But it was worth it because I've raised a lot of money for AfriKids and children like Paul. So thank you to all the people who donated money, bought cakes and cookies and came out to watch me run.
For those of you that haven't sponsored the run yet, we're keeping the fundraising open for another couple of weeks.
Hopefully you've already seen Paul's video (he's brilliant!) and had a chance to read about all the the great work AfriKids does to help the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children in northern Ghana.
While we might not hit my target of £1,500, with a few more donations I think we can get pretty close...remember it's for kids like Paul!
Thanks for your support,
Jeegar
