I am taking part in the "Race For Life" in memory of my beautiful cousin Kirsten Brown, who became an Angel on the 3rd October 2010, after battling with a very rare brain tumour for over 2 years. We remember her for the beautiful princess she was, and still is in all our hearts today. 

I hope that you will donate to Cancer Research UK as we all want to find a cure for this horrible disease, and this is only possible through funding so that the research can continue.

Ø  For every £10 raised, it contributes to buying enough glass slides for one of their scientists to examine 300 tumour samples down a microscope. 

Ø  Every £50 raised will buy around 22 thermometers, vital for many cancer-fighting experiments that need performed at precise temperatures. 

Ø  For every £94 raised, it will help cover the cost for one woman to take part in a clinical trial aiming to improve survival for post-menopausal women with early-stage breast cancer.

Ø  For every £120 raised, it will help train cancer nurses to listen and give advice to patients over the phone, providing the best support for the people they speak to.

These are only a few examples of where your money will actually go and I really do hope all my friends can help me reach a substantial amount of money towards this wonderful cause.
