Story
Where my fundraising journey began...
On 27th July 2016 my good friends Vikki and Dylan devastatingly lost their beautiful daughter, Ruby Aurelia Mary Hall at just 9 days old. I'm helping raise funds for the Neonatal ICU at Leeds General Infirmary in memory of Ruby and to help the staff who cared for her, Vik and Dylan and to help give other children and their families a fighting chance. Their continued strength, love and courage to help others is incredible and I'm honoured to be part of Ruby's legacy. 💙
Why my fundraising continues...
4 year old Seth Duerden lives with a lung condition and you wouldn't know if you met him. He is the son of my good friends Nick and Cheryl and Felix's little brother. These guys have had many worrying times with Seth's health since he was born and heavily rely on the NHS to care for Seth. They are regulars at Leeds General Hospital and they continue to need the medical advice and support of the doctors and nurses to maintain Seth's health. There is no stopping him, he runs rings around his Mum, plays footy with his Dad and keeps up with his big brother. Seth and his family are an inspiration to keep going, keep smiling and keep positive. 💪
My next challenge is the Berlin marathon on the 26th September 2021. Slightly delayed but still not fully prepared for the 26.2 miles/ 42kms! I'm always motivated by the memory of Ruby, she is always with me when I run 🦋 and Seth is a huge inspiration to keep going and with a smile on my face! 🦸♂️
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and helping me support the Leeds Hospitals Charity.
