Miles For Missing People 6.2mile - 10k Run · 13 March 2010
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in this race to raise funds and awareness for missing people such as Eddie Gibson (please see below). I received a chain e-mail regarding Eddie when I was in my 2nd year of uni, and I am saddened to hear that he has never been found and that his family still do not know what happened to him. It is perhaps not likely that he is still alive, but I know his family will continue their search until they know what happened to Eddie. Until they hear otherwise, there is always the hope that he may still be alive, and I hope that you will sponsor me to help support the families of missing people such as Eddie.
Please donate what little you can as it will all be gratefully received. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
EDDIE GIBSON
Eddie Gibson was a 20 year old university student that has not been heard from since October 24th 2004. On this date he emailed his mother to say he was planning to return to the UK from Cambodia on a flight due to leave Bangkok, Thailand on 1st November. He has not been seen or heard from since, and the British Embassy in Phnom Penn have all but given up hope of his safe return. His Mother has not given up, and lives in the hope that some positive information as to Eddie's whereabouts will appear. Please see http://www.eddiegibson.net/ for more info regarding this.
