Story
Hi Guys!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
With cancer, you just don't know what's going to happen next - the future is so uncertain. One moment you could be feeling optimistic... the next you could be told that you only have a certain amount of time to live.
What about managing your finances? You'll likely have to take a break from work. What about your loved ones? Cancer will have a huge impact on every aspect of their life, as well as your own.
In spite of everything, no one should ever have to face cancer alone.
Macmillan believe strongly in this, which is why I have decided to run for them in May. The charity helps both cancer sufferers and their loved ones cope with the disease through providing practical, medical and financial support as well as simply acting as a shoulder to lean on - Macmillan are there every step of the way.
Two years ago, I took on the challenge of running my first ever half marathon in Glasgow for Macmillan. At certain points during the run, I felt as if I had hit a wall - all I wanted to do was throw in the towel and give up. However, what stopped me from doing so was the thought of where all the money I had raised was going to; I knew that the donations would make a genuine difference to all those affected by such a horrid disease, and that is what pushed me to cross the finish line.
Thank you again for taking the time to read my story and any donations would mean the absolute world. 💚
