Story

Cystic Fibrosis is the UK's most common life threatening inherited disease, with the current average age of survival at 38 years. There is currently no cure, and patients require large amounts of treament on a daily basis.

The C.F campaign is raising money to fund a dedicated Cystic Fibrosis unit in Nottingham as there is currently no specific unit, with four side rooms being used to treat around 130 patients.

C.F patients have to be segregated due to the risk of cross- infection, meaning patients with other medical problems may not have access to a private room when needed.

I am doing the Erewash Triathlon - a 400 metre swim, 10 mile cycle and 5K run to support the Cystic Fibrosis campaign. I am not a born triathlete so any help would be greatly appreciated, both for my motivation and to help create a 'home at hospital' for C.F patients!

Thank you, Jen xx
