Story
SO I was doing my weekly shop and Zoe calls.... 'Jen, do you want to walk the South Downs Way with me and 2 guys from work?' Me (distracted by the ripeness of the avacados) 'Yeah why not!)
Instead of spending a week walking the South Downs Way in nice manageable chunks and staying in comfortable B & B's, we are going to do 100km of it in little over 24hours - NON STOP!
'But what about sleep?' I hear you say....... Sleep schmeep!!!! 'And blisters?'...... blister patches, party feet cushions and Vaseline!! 'And walking at night?'...... Head torches and maybe a few glow sticks!!!
There are many more factors such as potential chaffing, sun stroke, dehydration, injury etc etc that will make this challenge very very hard, but with the 100's of other people embarking on the journey and especially my cracking team, I won't be alone!
Meet the team LIONS and TIGERS and BEARS - OH MY!!! Zoe Walheim, Tom Marshall and Michael Ballard, and of course not to mention my wonderful Adrian Quinn who will be our support car and driving around sussex meeting us with refreshments, treats, fresh socks and anything else we may need.
Oxfam is such a great cause, and if you think what we are doing deserves a fiver {or tenner if you're flushed!}, that'd be ace and much appreciated!
