Compassion in World Farming is a fantastic organisation achieving better conditions for farmed animals every day. I am one of the charity's trustees and have chosen to do this jump - with 10,000 ft of free fall - to support one of Compassion's most far reaching campaigns - to End The Cage Age. We want to see an end to an industrial agriculture that confines animals in cages as mere units of production, without regard to their sentience or natural behaviours, and replace this with a regenerative agriculture that is kind to animals, people and the planet.

A key part of this campaign has been the creation of a European Citizens Initiative that has collected a record breaking number of  signatures - over 1.5 million - and after close scrutiny where those signatures are assessed for their validity, the final signature count  will be presented to the European Commission on the day I have deliberately chosen for my jump - October 2nd, which is also the World Day For Farmed Animals.
