Story
Hi all,
Thank you so much for visiting my page! Hopefully my story will inspire you to donate to my very worthy cause which is Children With Cancer UK.
Whilst climbing one of the many mountains within the UK with my team, I wondered what could do as a solo challenge? It then dawned on me that I would look very good in lycra, so with this in mind, I located my bicycle under the barrels of beer that I brew in my garage, pulled down my snazzy cycling suit from the loft, and started training.
My challenge is the Ride London cycling event, whereby i have to cycle 100 miles across London, and as things stand, I am feeling rather nervous but very focused and committed.
I have been training extremely hard for over a week now, but have decided not to go down the conventional training regime of drinking water and energy supplements, but instead drinking large volumes of ale and eating as many cheeseburgers as possible. Results are astounding! Although if honest, i am still probably four sizes too big for my outfit.
With less than 5 weeks to go, I ask you to help me reach my target of £500 for this fantastic charity, and in return, I will happily send you pictures of me, my bike, and my finishing medal!
Thank you very much for taking the time out to read my story, I will leave you with some very profound words that I will never forget, that came from the lips of my friend and hero, Scott.
RIDE ON.
