Annabelle's Challenge is raising awareness of Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (vascular EDS) to the general public and medical profession to help aid an early diagnosis and prevent misdiagnosis of vascular EDS and to support patients who are affected by the condition.

Story

Annabelle's Challenge is the leading charity for vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in the UK. Their challenge is to raise awareness and support for patients and families affected by vascular EDS. Vascular EDS is a life threatening connective tissue disorder that affects all tissues, arteries and internal organs making them extremely fragile an at risk.

For those of you who don't know, my mum passed away suddenly in March of 2013 at the age of 43, it wasn't until a few years after she passed that we found out she had Vascular EDS.

Since then my sister Beth, has also been diagnosed with Vascular EDS and so, I'm raising money in memory of my mum because she was a fantastic and wonderful human being, but also on behalf of my sister, who is a strong, inspiring, incredible woman.

Raising money for Annabelle's challenge can help raise awareness to the medical community so that research continues so that anyone affected by VEDS currently and in the future has access to the right information & support to lead a fulfilled life.
