Jess climbs Kilimanjaro for Alzheimer's Society · 3 April 2013

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Alzheimer's Society aims to help thousands of people suffering from the illness and support those who care for them. This particular fundraising effort is to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society's 'Live Well' campaign which aims to provide support and information for carers across the country.

Together with my work colleagues, we aim to climb the equivalent height of Mount Kilimanjaro (5895m!!) in less than 24 hours, using a static climbing wall and self-determination to achieve our goal. The event is due to take place at the Quay Climbing Centre in Exeter on Sunday 21st April.

Every POUND donated will be MATCHED by my employer. So every donation counts!!

All the money we raise will go to a fantastic charity and it is one which we are all passionate about - many of us know someone who is directly affected by Alzheimer's, whether it is someone diagnosed with the illness or caring for someone who is living with it.

Any donation you can give is so greatly appreciated and warmly received, so thank you in advance for your support.
