Story

Every penny raised helps us support people affected by Addison's Disease, a rare disease with just 9,000 sufferers in UK and Ireland. I am 1 of those 9,000...

I was diagnosed with Addison's Disease when I was 19. Balancing Addison's Disease with my Type 1 Diabetes is quite the challenge! I have been to many useful talks by the ADSHG and they have given me tips and helped get me to a stage where my Addison's is well controlled most of the time, and in moments where I am ill they have given me advice on managing this. So lets support their work and help aid future events.

I am by NO means a runner...but I do LOVE a challenge! So, I am running 13.1 miles..yes, you read it correctly...Me, Jessica Gilby will be running half a marathon through London with my best pal Alex Duke. She's watched my years of sickness, steroid bloat and seen me get back to balanced health. Plus she's just brilliant so she's keeping me company and fundraising for ADSHG.

Any donations big or small are greatly appreciated and I'll love you forever if you supply post-run beverages!!!

THANK YOU!!!!
