Run Jessie Run!

The Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon 2016 · 2 October 2016 ·
On the 11th July, my wonderful grandfather sadly passed away in the Marie Curie Hospice, Holm Towers. A truly inspirational man who loved football, gardening and oranges and was a true superman right until the end. In honour of his memory, I'm doing one of the things I enjoy most - raising money for charity. Rather than doing my usual fashion show or fundraising event - I'm doing something more challenging than I have ever done. Running. Not just running for the bus or to the shop for a bottle of wine before it closes, but for 13 miles around Cardiff!
In his last weeks, the staff and nurses at Marie Curie were a huge help and support to my Grandfather and family, and I know my grandad would want us to say a huge thank you for this. That's why Marie Curie is my chosen charity for this ridiculous thing I've signed myself up for.
Grandad, try not to laugh too much at my sweaty self waddling amongst the athletes. This is for you.
