Staying at Home - and Shaving my Head for Coronavirus Appeal · 15 April 2020

The National Emergencies Trust (NET) is launching a fundraising appeal to help those most affected by the recent coronavirus outbreak.

Story

Over  the last few weeks I’ve been thinking long and hard about what I can do to help people during this horrific time. There’s so many people that have been affected by the virus: the homeless, the elderly, key workers, businesses, those with mental health issues, those with disabilities, those that live alone - everyone.

And I just couldn’t think of a way to reach them all.

But last night, I found it.

The National Emergencies Trust made a public appeal for fundraising to help those most affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The funds are being used for local charities and grassroots organisations that can provide vital support to people in the quickest way possible.

I may not be able to do a bungy jump, cycle ride, or anything huge and crazy but I can do something that I’ll be reminded of everyday I wake up...

If I hit my target (or go beyond!) I’m going to be shaving my head on Wednesday 15th April in the hope to raise support for this charity.

Every person who donates will receive an online invitation to watch live!
