Wimpole Half Marathon · 9 October 2016

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

Hello all!

This year I am crossing one more thing off my bucket list and doing my first ever half marathon, and I can't think of a better motivation than doing it to raise money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), a wonderful charity who offer support to families, and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

EACH help to bring joy into the lives of children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and are a lifeline for families going through unimaginably difficult times. To learn more about EACH, please visit the website below and watch some of the videos to see the stories of some of the families they have helped. They are hard to watch, but that just makes this cause all the more worthwhile and shows how important the work is that EACH does.

Those of you who know me (or have ever met me!) will understand that running is really not my thing. This will not be easy, but with the support of my family and friends, and the knowledge that I am taking on this challenge for a fantastic charity, I know I can do it!

Every donation makes a difference, no matter how small, so if you can spare a few pennies, please do :)
