Story
In September 2012 I took part in my first overseas bike ride for Velindre, cycling from the Yosemite to San Francisco, whilst also celebrating my 50th Birthday. The ride raised over £250,000 for the charity.
On the 12th September this year, I'm heading off to America once again to take part in another bike ride for Velindre, this time celebrating my 60th Birthday!
I will be leading over 70 riders on a 300 mile, 5 day ride through Utah, Arizona and Nevada taking in Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyons. It will be extremely hot, we will be spending around 7-8 hours a day in the saddle each day and tackling some serious hills, but however challenging this ride will be, it will be nothing compared to the challenges cancer patients and their families face.
Since I became involved with Velindre Cancer Charity, we have raised almost £40million, which is phenomenal.
I know times are tough right now, but if you can donate anything, you really will be helping us reach that incredible milestone and making a huge difference to the lives of so many cancer patients and their families that are being supported by Velindre currently, or may need it in the future.
Thank you for your support.
