Many of you may remember in October 2019 the saddening news of the death of the Westerton pupil Jessica Weaver following a battle with Leukaemia.

Throughout this year we have been raising money for Children with Cancer UK in memory of Jess. As such, on Wednesday 14^th July Westerton are hosting the Team Jess Westerton Marathon on behalf of the Westerton PTFA, where each class will collectively run a marathon (and a little more).

Every child from Reception to Year 6 will run two laps of a half-mile course around the school grounds, meaning that each class will run around 30 miles collectively.

Each class will have a time in the day to complete the run together, along with some adults from school too. We hope the children have lots of fun completing the run and raise money for an excellent cause too.
