Story
When I was five years old, my sister was born and we found out that she had a life-threatening condition which meant that she had to spend a lot of time in hospital. In 2007, at just two years old, she had a successful kidney transplant. Although this did not mean the end of hospital care for her, it has meant that she now lives a fairly normal life. None of this could have happened without the amazing hospital team at the Evelina and we are so thankful for everything they have done for us. They made sure that my sister was well, but also that our family was coping which is more than we could have ever asked for.
Ever since I can remember, I've had long hair, and the last time I cut it properly was 10 years ago. The hair that will be cut off will be donated to a wig making charity, whilst all money raised through sponsorship will go to the Evelina. I am very nervous about having short hair, but I know that it will go towards a great cause which I am so passionate about.
