Joanne's Chiltern 50k page

I am taking on my biggest challenge to date. Chiltern 50k will be my first (and likely last) ultra marathon. Having managed York Marathon last year I knew if I wanted to fundraise again I should step it up. However since signing up I have been told I have early onset osteoarthritis in my knees and I continue to struggle with my hips. However it's nothing compared to what people who have to battle cancer go through, so I am going to work hard and try my best to complete this epic challenge in memory of my beautiful friend.
Please note as I have taken on a charity place approx £150 of my fundraising target covers the cost of my race entry. Everything else raised goes directly to the charity.
General information about Pancreatic Cancer:
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
