Unfortunately I have experienced first hand the devastation depression, struggle, and suicide causes.

 Families, friends and anyone who cares for someone lost to suicide are affected.

CALM work to prevent male suicide by providing services for men who are down or in crisis.they campaign for cultural change so men feel able to seek help.

The numbers are shocking.  Suicide is the single biggest killer of men aged under 45 in the UK. 84 men every single week.

So here it is I am putting it out there ! 

Not content with running one marathon I thought would try to run 12 (yes 12) marathons in 12 months representing the 12 men that take their own lives every day in the UK in aid of CALM.

My crazy plan is to run 26.2 miles every month in 2019 and raise funds for CALM in memory of Jamie.

More needs to be done to understand how to help those affected so that  fewer families  have to suffer the loss of those they love to these statistics.
