Story
First of all, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Joana Valls and I've been running for about 4 years now. I lived in London a while back for over 4 years (before I started running) whilst I was doing my MEng in Environmental Engineering. By then, I though people running were insane ... mostly those running at 6am or those waking up early on Sundays.
I started running as a stress relief and to get over a break up (amongst other reasons). I never thought that running would mean so much to me by then. Over the years, I've met a lot of amazing people and crossed the finishing line of multiple races over and over again. Running has gave me more than I ever could expect and everytime I've been to, I've tried to use it as an excuse to help others too; fundraising money, charity races, donating food, etc. Here in Spain, I collaborate with several running groups against youth cancer which is why I thought about applying to run the best race ever as a CLIC sargent.
My purpose is to help CLIC raise awareness and visibility, and help to make life a little bit easier for children and young people with cancer.
