I recently spent a couple of days with the wonderful staff and members of Headway East London – the brain injury charity - it was an inspiring time. This is a small charity with very active staff who constantly ensure members are enjoying themselves with all types of activities – it is a very inclusive club – whilst some colleagues enjoyed a healthy group discussion, Nick and I were happily volunteered for an afternoon with the Ladies Choir – it was great fun and you could see the pride on everyone’s faces to be part of this – although we were all relieved when Nick declined a solo!. It became very clear throughout the time that I spent with them that every penny raised for this charity would directly impact the members and staff in a positive way.
