When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

This October I will be embarking upon the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro with Anna and Steff. I will be climbing to raise money for the Stroke Association.

I have chosen to support the Stroke Association, as it is a cause which has affected my family. I want to help raise the awareness of strokes and the warning signs so people know when to get emergency help. Acting FAST and receiving emergency treatment is essential for anyone who suffers from a stroke and can make a life changing difference, so raising awareness paramount.

I am excited to push myself and climb all 5,895m of the tallest mountain in Africa for this cause. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support and wish all three of us luck! xxx
