Joey's Charity Wing-Walk

Fundraising for Children's Bereavement Centre
raised of £1,000 target
by 50 supporters
We offer free support to children aged 3-18 to help them with the loss of someone close

When I casually mentioned that I’d love to do a wing-walk one day, I didn’t expect my husband to actually gift me it for my birthday!! But here I am and on Sunday 28th August, I’ll take to the skies for an adrenaline-filled ride on the wings of a biplane over the Lincolnshire countryside.

I appreciate there’s not much skill involved (other than holding on tight and trying not to throw up!) nor have I had to train endlessly like some of my inspiring marathon or triathlon friends, however, I would really appreciate your support in raising much needed funds for a wonderful charity called The Children’s Bereavement Centre.

Sadly every 22 minutes in the UK a child is bereaved of a parent. As the name suggests, The Children’s Bereavement Centre offers counselling and support to children who have experienced the loss or terminal illness of a parent or loved one. It can be one of the most devastating and traumatic experiences in a child’s life and without the right help, can lead to longer term emotional and mental health issues.

Every penny raised will enable The Children’s Bereavement Centre and its dedicated team of professionals to continue their valuable work in helping these children through their grief. If you’d like to find out more about the charity, please visit:

Thank you so much for your support.
