Helping out in Ecuador

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For 6 weeks at the end of the summer I am off to Ecuador to volunteer with ICYE- UK (Inter-Cultural Youth Exchange). I will be helping at Camp Hope- a rehabilitation centre for disabled children in Quito, the capital of the country. The aim of the centre is to help the integration of disabled children into the regular education system. The Ecuadorian Government does not prioritize education for disabled children, so they need all the help they can get.
I have been doing odd jobs for people- from ironing and cleaning to babysitting and gardening!- and have so far raised £300 from it. If you live in Aberdeen and have any jobs for me I would be very happy to do them!
I am also fundraising by collecting unwanted textiles as part of the Ragbag recycling scheme- if you have any old clothes, shoes, bags, belts, hats, bed linen etc that you would like to donate that would be great. Ragbag pays money for textiles given to them, which they then recycle in Scotland or send to parts of Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe to provide second hand clothing. So the more I manage to collect the more money I will raise!
If you would like to donate on this page I would be very grateful. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thankyou so much for supporting this very worthwhile cause! Your donations mean a lot to me and to Inter-Cultural Youth Exchange (Icye-Uk) Ltd.Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
