Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Joanne was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in February 2016 and after chemotherapy and surgery, was given the all clear in August 2016. Sadly the cancer returned in October. Joanne remained positive and cheerful throughout her treatment whilst comforting all those around her. In the end, the disease was just overwhelming and she died peacefully in her sleep on March 19th 2017. We have lost a beautiful and generous person, a wonderful wife, mum, daughter, sister and auntie. Jo had time for everyone and was everyone's best friend. In her professional life she was dedicated to looking after the needs of her many patients at Horrocks & Boyd Opticians in Kingston-upon-Thames.

Joanne was under the care of the Royal Marsden throughout her treatment and we want to thank the consultants and nurses who looked after Joanne so well. Lets together raise funds for their cancer charity to support continued research and patient care.
