I am taking on a big challenge in running the London Marathon 2017, I am raising Money for the Burn's Children's Club based at Broomfield Hospital,

As some of you may know I work as a nurse on the Burns Intensive Care Unit at Broomfield Hospital which means I see the devastating effects that a burn injury can have on both Patients and their families

The Burns children's Club is a charity that offers support to young burn survivors and their families  to help them come to terms with burn trauma and altered body image, this support helps to build self esteem, confidence and expectations after a burn injury and creates a place where children and parents don't feel judged. The burns Club organises day trips, Camps and support groups that are a much needed support network for children and their families who have been through similar experiences. I have never run a marathon before with my furthest run being 10K so this is a big challenge for me but one I'm keen to take on! Training has begun.. 6 months to go!
