Cerys and I have set ourselves the challenge to get fit enough to complete the Challenge to get to Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail.

We leave on 30th March 2018!!

We are particularly keen to support  Classic FM's charity Global's Make Some Noise.   This charity supports smaller projects throughout the UK working with young people and children.

Our special favourite, because of the problems that we have experienced in the last few years, is The Mental Health Foundation. This  national charity works to promote good mental health and to improve the lives of everyone, including children and young people, affected by mental health problems.  Since 2004, it has been known that 10% of children aged 5 to 15 have a diagnosable mental disorder...that's about 3 in every class. 

Their aim is to develop new interventions which can offer an alternative to medication, to offer options to people who choose not to visit their GP or don’t have a diagnosis and treatment, and to help people prevent and recover from mental health problems.

We are asking our friends and family to donate whatever they can to this great charity via this page.  The cost of our trip is £ 480 each which is paid in advance. To complete the charitable element of the Challenge we need to raise  an additional £ 4,000. each  to Global's Make Some Noise. 

Some of our fundraising plans are : Joanne will be running raffles for jewellery prizes at Gowan Jewellers and Cerys will be doing harp recitals at The Contemporary Craft & Design Fair RHS Hyde Hall during August Bank holiday weekend .
