Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Joe Deary, Peter Redmond, Kieran Vis & Joe Manning are taking part in this years Liverpool half Marathon on the 26th May in Memory of Jack Riding, a great friend who passed away unexpectedly doing what he loved - playing football, in 2018.

They are raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a charity which aim to help reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through supporting their screening programme.

Every week in the UK at least 12 fit & healthy young people, 35 or under die suddenly from undiagnosed cardiac conditions; 80% of those deaths occur with NO prior symptoms, but cardiac screening has been shown to lead to an 89% reduction in the number of sudden cardiac deaths.

Please spare whatever you can, your donations are greatly appreciated.
