We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

A few years ago my wonderful Dad, Phillip Lucy, was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Obviously he cracked a few jokes at first ("guess we definitely don't need a dishwasher anymore") to make light of the situation. But Parkinson's is a slow, difficult condition, and it is hard on everyone associated with it.

That's why Aleah and I will be running the Great Manchester Run 2022; to raise vital money for the wonderful charity Parkinson's. It won't come as any surprise to most who know us, but 10k is a long way to run for two people who usually get out of breath running for the tram. So please consider donating to help us find the cure for Parkinson's; we are not very far away from making a breakthrough, and every penny counts in the battle against this condition.

It doesn't matter the amount - whether small or large, every donation can help this charity and this cause. Plus, any amount of money will go to great lengths to encourage Aleah and I to get off our asses and actually train, so we don't collapse in a heap 250m from the start line.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
