Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

I have recently left Chippenham college and after looking at various opportunities, have decided to volunteer with the VSO  (Voluntary Services Overseas) in Ethiopia. I will be away for three months from the middle of January. This will be  challenge for me as I have never lived away from home before.

Whilst abroad I will work in local communities as part of a team made up of British and local volunteers. I will be part of a team getting the information and services they need to stay healthy via pro-grammes .

Volunteers also help young people to adopt healthy practices.

VSO volunteers help increase the adoption of safe health practices among young people, support the establishment of safe facilities in schools, and support young people to devise clear personal development plans for their livelihoods.

As part of the commitment, all volunteers are asked to fundraise before going overseas. The money raised will go towards supporting the work of VSO and partner organisations, enabling us to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.

To date, I have

-  run a  name the bear competition

- organised a golf competition at the Castle Combe course where I work part time

and am organising a cake bake with my mum

Any donation is welcome and the funds raised will be used to support those who have far less than us.
